Factsheet: major projects
in MS Riem

Already completed
Some DM 2 billion went to build Munich's new fairgrounds. Providing 140,000 square meters of covered floor space, the fairgrounds were commissioned in February, 1998. Another two halls, offering a further 20,000 square meters, were completed in October, 2000. The ICM opened its doors in October, 1998. The facility has 19 individual rooms. They hold from 20 to 3,000 persons.
Nemetschek AG and Lemo Elektronik GmbH have moved into the office buildings which the companies constructed in MS Riem's Northwest business park. DIV Deutsche Immobilienfonds Verwaltungsgesellschaft is about to follow suit. Construction is about to start on a number of other buildings.

Soon to come
By 2003, local residents will have a world of shopping, dining, entertainment and other pursuits and events within easy walking distance. That will be thanks to "MS Riem Arcades". Situated on a plot some 42,000 square meters large and offering 119,000 square meters of usable space, the DM 650 million complex will house stores, restaurants, a cinema, a hotel (250 rooms), apartments, rooms for conferences, and a venue for community and cultural events. MS Riem Arcades is being developed by DIFA Immobilien Fonds AG. Owned by Germany's public sector cooperative banks, it is one of the largest in its field in Germany. MS Riem Arcades will be managed by mfi Management für Immobilien GmbH.

Synergy Online is building a DM 170 million office complex. Set for completion in 2003, the facility will offer 33,000 square meters of office space. Its tenants will be high-techs - 40 all told - wishing to avail themselves of the complex's advanced communications backbone and other amenities. Located in what will be the heart of the complex, the one-time departure hall of Munich airport will be redeveloped into its center of inter-corporate communication.
I'd like more information.

The Bhamroyal Group is going to build a residential and commercial complex on a site some 18,000 square meters large. The property is located on the north side of MS Riem's Willy Brandt Allee. When completed in autumn 2003, the complex will offer some 35,000 square meters of apartments and offices each. The complex has a great location. It is situated between Munich's trade fair grounds and the main entrance to the site of the Federal Garden Show, to be staged in 2005.
