MS Riem residents flock to Internet courses

Seventeen residents of MS Riem attended the Internet courses held on February 11 and 12, 2001 in a local residents' center. Sponsored by the Unterföhring-based Kabel & Medien Service, the three-hour course met with an enthusiastic reception. "The course was very easy-to-follow, and taught me everything I needed to know," stated Susanne Wohlrab.

The participants quickly learned the basics of the Internet: what it is, and how to use it. By the end of the three hour course, they had also been taught by Andreas Schiedermeier how to use search engines, and how to receive and send E-mails.
Schiedermeier works for the Munich-based Swartzberg GmbH. This provider of information and services had been commissioned by Dr. Rudolf Huber Media Professionals with the staging of the courses. Dr. Huber has been charged by the municipality of Munich with the handling of MS Riem's public relations.
