applies to senior citizens (60 and older), students, the handicapped, the unemployed and other socially disadvantaged persons

Young persons
from 6 to 14 years. Students going to high school (up to 20 years old) are also entitled to this reduced rate, as are those attending vocational training programs

Get to and from BUGA free! Included in the day ticket is your public transport fare to and from the festival.

Opening times
9 a.m. to thirty minutes before sundown
Admission desks close at 7.30 p.m. in April, May, September and October; at 8.30 p.m. in June, July and August; or even later when there's something going on in the evening.

From the west: U2 subway line to Messestadt Riem West
From the east: U2 subway line to Messestadt Riem Ost
or by regional railway S3/S4 to Gronsdorf
By bike
A new bike lane links the festival with downtown Munich! It, in turns, forms part of the 170 kilometer-long 'Munich Ring'. Comprised of 14 individual routes, this ring links BUGA with the Munich's region cultural and natural attractions.
By car
Follow the signs to 'Messe/ICM' and to 'BUGA'. Plenty of on-site parking.

Food and shopping
Beer gardens, cafés, snack bars and a lakeside bistro: the Festival has a wide selection of fare. There's an open-air market for those wishing to get the makings of a picnic or to stock your larder.
