Arts and artists in Messestadt Riem

As a stroll through the community shows, the artistic spirit is very much at home in Messestadt Riem. The spirit is on display in its buildings, which have won a number of architectural prizes, and in its public spaces, in which works of land and other art have been placed and in which performance pieces are staged.
The strength of the artistic spirit is also shown by the large number of exhibitions held in Messestadt Riem. Venues include the new cultural center, the Infobox, the ecclesiastical forums, community get-together points, the ateliers located in buildings flanking Edinburgh-Platz, Quax, and local daycare centers and schools.
This strength is attributable to "kunstprojekte_riem". During three formative years (2000-2003), the municipality-funded project impelled the development of the cultural scene in Messestadt Riem.
