(March 10, 2004) Messestadt Riem just became a place to shop,
dine, workout and sojourn.
The €500 million Messestadt Riem Arcades opened for business
today. With 120 retail outlets, restaurants and cafés, the
mall is one of southern Germany’s largest. A Dorint hotel,
office buildings offering 33,000 square meters of space and 60
apartments also form part of the development.
Thanks to its large and promising catchment area -Munich’s
fast-growing east side, the mall has attracted many of Germany’s
blue chip retailers of apparel, books, cosmetics and other essentials
of daily life.
The mall has plenty of parking - 2,600 spaces - and great public
transport links. The Messestadt West station is located next door.
The mall is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The restaurants facing Willy-Brandt-Platz are open throughout the
evening.
The developers of Messestadt Riem Arcades are DIFA Deutsche Immobilien
Fonds AG and mfi Management für Immobilien AG.
