Messestadt Riem gets an international management school

(December 2, 2002) The Munich campus of the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) will be located in Messestadt Riem's Hall of Arms ('Wappenhalle'), announced the consortium of companies sponsoring the School, Europe's newest institute of post-graduate business studies.

The Hall, in turn, forms the heart of the complex being developed by SynergyOnline into a center of high-tech development. The development of the 33,000 square meter-large, Euro 85 million complex is scheduled to be completed over the next few months.

Located in Berlin, the ESMT's first campus is scheduled to open its doors in spring, 2003, with degree studies set to be launched in the fall of the year.

Among the School's sponsors are Allianz, BMW, Deutsche Lufthansa and Deutsche Telekom. To comprise up to six individual campuses, the School is forecast to have an enrollment of 4,000 and an academic body of 80. The number of students graduating each year with MBA, EMBA (executive MBA), MPA (Masters of Public Administration) or other advanced degrees is projected to amount to 500.
