Prime location: in the middle of MS Riem, Germany's largest urban conversion project

In a ceremony attended by mayor Christian Ude and other dignitaries, the ground was broken today for Riem Arcades. Being developed by the Hamburg-based DIFA and the Essen-based mfi, the EURO 325 million mall has a great location. It is situated in the middle of MS Riem, next to the Messestadt West subway station and across the street from the community's main residential area and Munich's trade fairgrounds.

When completed in autumn 2003, the mall will have some 160 stores, a hotel, a residential complex, leisure-time facilities, a citizens' center and much more.
