(October 4, 2005) 49% of Bavaria's foreign-owned companies plan on expanding their operations in 2006, reports a study conducted by Swartzberg GmbH for the state's economics ministry. An equally large percentage intends to maintain the size.
This bullishness is very good news for the Munich metropolitan area, which is to 70% of the more than 1700 foreign-owned companies based in Bavaria. Munich thus has the largest foreign business community of any urban area in continental Europe.
