(September 30, 2004) When it starts on 4 October 2004 in Munich,
EXPO REAL, the International Commercial Real Estate Exposition,
will be even stronger than ever. A total of 1,333 exhibitors are
expected to attend the three-day leading trade fair fair this year,
as compared to 1,279 exhibitors last year. Around 16,000 trade
visitors visited the exhibition stands and attended the information
events in the accompanying programme, covering current themes and
trends. A similar level is expected in October this year. "The
developments are exceeding our expectations. Despite the continuing
difficult economic situation in Europe and in Germany, EXPO REAL
is an attractive meeting point for the international commercial
real estate sector. The direct communication and networking with
potential partners and investors that is possible at EXPO REAL
is the event´s main plus factor. At no other fair in Europe
is there this kind of working atmosphere," said Eugen Egetenmeir,
a member of the management board of Messe München.
Because of rising numbers of exhibitors and increased demand for
space, the exhibition space has been expanded. 42,000 square metres
are available to the participants, that´s 4,000 square metres
more than last year. A new trend is emerging, evident particularly
in the new exhibitors from abroad: EXPO REAL is gaining ever greater
international significance. Exhibiting for the first time in Munich
is the city and region of Madrid, which will be presenting its
urban development projects to an international audience. And Lithuania
is the first of the three Baltic states to exhibit at EU. It has
been a member of the EU since May 2004, and with its strong economic
growth, is regarded as one of the 'tiger economies' among the new
EU members. Also registered to take part are first-time exhibitors
from the Ukraine, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. In
total exhibitors from 32 countries will be making sure EXPO REAL
2004 is an international, diverse and exciting event.
